History/Background:
ICE was founded in 1989 in White Salmon, WA with the mission of developing composite technologies and processes that lead to high volume manufacturing opportunities.  ICE is best known in the retail world for the Nolimitz line of windsurfing masts.  Nolimitz is one of the highest visibility areas of ICE, especially locally, but far from all we do here.  In fact, Nolimitz masts are actually a very small slice of the pie.
The majority of ICE’s work is spread out over a broad customer base.  We are a manufacturer of advanced composite products for the aerospace, industrial, defense, automotive and recreational industries.   Our capabilities range from prepreg table rolled tubing to complex molded components.  ICE works with customers to engineer solutions to meet their specific needs and then moves these prototype developments into volume production.  Currently, ICE manufactures a diverse range of parts for a broad customer base including components for use in the oil & gas industry, surveying equipment, UAV aircraft, furniture for Polo Ralph Lauren, recreational and automotive components to name a few.   We are constantly developing new markets and components driven by the demand of our customers.
What ICE Does:
ICE specializes in the engineering and fabrication of composite (carbon fiber and fiberglass) parts utilizing prepreg materials.   Prepreg is a dry material that is heat activated to achieve cure.  These materials do not have the wet resins or toxic fumes that are usually associated with composite production.   Although the materials and production technology that ICE uses are expensive it results in the highest quality products available.   We take great pride in the products that we produce and the support we give our customers.  It is a good feeling knowing the parts we build get launched into space on the shuttle, help protect the country, or just help win the Americas Cup.   Every employee at ICE is a critical team member leading to the success of not just Innovative Composite Engineering, but to the success of our customers and the nation as a whole.
